privacy policy

Second Date is a texting coach. You paste in a message, we help you reply. That only works if you trust us with sensitive stuff, so here is exactly what we do with it, in plain language.

what we collect

• Your email address — used to log you in and count your free reply and credits.
• What you paste or upload — messages, conversations and screenshots. Used to write your replies, nothing else.
• Conversation memory — the app remembers your coaching context between sessions (which conversations you're working on, which patterns you've learned) so it can coach you better. It is deliberately instructed not to store identifying details about the people you text, such as last names, phone numbers, socials or addresses.
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

how we use it

• To generate your replies and remember your coaching context.
• To improve the product: we may review conversations to see where the coaching falls short.
• That's it. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or build marketing profiles.

who processes it for us

Second Date runs on trusted service providers: CalStudio (app platform and hosting, on AWS), Anthropic (the AI model that writes replies), and Stripe (payments). They process data only to provide the service.

the people you text

The messages you paste were written by someone else. Be decent about it: we use them only to write your reply, we don't build profiles of them, and we tell the AI to forget identifying details about them. Please don't paste more than the conversation needs.

your rights

You can ask us at any time to show, correct, or delete everything we have about you. Email hello@seconddate.me and we'll take care of it. If you're in the EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Second Date is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
